At Expressive Herts each child is nurtured to find and grow their talent; building confidence through performing arts.

Developing at their own pace, they each play their part in learning through fun and engaging activities whilst making friends along the way. 

The children will work creatively in groups, pairs or on their own, to rehearse and perform with confidence.

Classes are fun and engaging, where the children will have the opportunity to explore the various different modalities of performing arts. The classes also have the development of real-life skills at their core such as confidence, communication, teamwork and listening. Some are hidden deeper beneath the surface such as empathy, initiative, perseverance and the courage to step out of comfort zones.

Activities include

• Performance skills e.g. Speech & drama, movement, song, characterisation, improvisation and storytelling

• Drama games

• Preparing a show for an audience

• Interpersonal and emotional development

• Confidence building

Teacher

Miss Bone is a classically trained actress and teacher, with over 20 years experience. She has been delivering performing arts classes at St Peter's since 2021.

She is a qualified drama teacher, accredited to prepare children for their LAMDA exams.

Summer Term 

Years 3&4 - Mondays between 20th April - 6th July  - 9 classes (excluding Half Term, Bank Holidays and Inset days)
Years 5&6 - Tuesdays between 21st April - 7th July - 11 classes (excluding Half Term)
